This course aims to equip a student who has no Arabic background with the ability to understand the Quran directly in the Arabic language.
Students are expected to have a basic ability to read Arabic. Even if the student is able to read with difficulty this will be sufficient to join the course
No, we do not teach Qur’an reading, tajweed or memorisation. Our focus is on teaching Arabic to understand the meanings of the Qur’an
Classes are held at Mountview Masjid (Warden Crescent) in Cape Town on Sunday mornings from 8:30am to 12:00pm. We generally have 1-2 Sundays off during the school holidays and Ramadaan.
All classes are video and audio live-streamed and recorded. We also email students all the presentations, worksheets and links to the video and audio recordings of each class. In addition, students are also able to book a private tutor at a nominal cost.
Classes begin at the end of January and we ask students to register before then. However, we will keep registration open beyond this date as long as there is physical space available in the classroom.
Yes. Prospective students are welcome to sit-in during any current classes and observe a class before deciding to register. Please contact our administration to arrange an observation slot.
You will receive a confirmation email with further information including our banking details. Final confirmation will be issued on receipt of registration payment. If you do not hear from us within 5 working days, please email our administration.
